Pixar's Emotion
Просмотров 10 тыс.9 лет назад
Pixar has a new film coming out called Inside Out that explores the emotions of a growing teenage girl through the literal characters in her head. I saw preview of it this past Sunday and it had me thinking about how well Pixar has managed to capture emotion through animated film in a way that few other studios have been able to do. I can count not just one, but several scenes from different mo...

This video shows how custom modules can be developed for the Beaver Builder Page Builder Plugin (rebranded in the video as the "Reclaim Builder"). The page builder plugin allows the ability to easily build out the content of a WordPress page. For many educators a lot of that content may already live in the LMS. These modules (in development by the University of Mary Washington) will allow a fac...
When many Americans ask why we support Ukraine’s fight for freedom, I think it’s important to remind them that we owe our very existence as a free country to Lafayette. The critical importance of alliances is another lesson in leadership we get from our Marquis.
My ancestry has been disgraced for far too long
The best part of course is the outrage and anger interrupted by 1.) An inhaler and 2.) Eye drops. This is seriously GOLD and needs to preserved forevah.
I think its so cool that during World War II a group of American soldiers went to Lafayette's grave and told him "Lafayette, we are here!". Very moving 🇺🇸❤️

Thank you to everyone who made this possible, and of course a thank you to Mark. This was not only incredibly informative, but enjoyable as well! Thanks again, and please take care and be well!
cant you just use the alexa app?
When Lafayette was in Cincinnati in 1824, an old woman approached him asking "Do you remember me?" or "Don't you remember me?" It turned out she had been the milkmaid who slipped him secret messages in prison in Austria. David Huber UN

☮️ thank you. I grew up reading Kurt but I never new all this. What a wonderful life.

Marquis de La Fillette ? LA - FA - YET
Thank you, Mark.
This is great. Bless the hero of two world's forever and always. I love the comment sections
@@chadpeters2841 Thank you!
Any factual stuff about KV is worth hearing, and knowing he wanted it heard and good enough for me.
The selfishness of the boomers is staggering. I almost admire it. I'd love to have the ability to throw my family aside to follow my passion. Be careful about when and where you "settle down"
Now here's a comment!
I enjoy listening to the documentation films then listening to The history experts fill in the gaps of the true and total history.
I have the book. 😀
Once I read that there are more than 40 towns, counties and cities all over the US with the name LAFAYETTE.....A true hero...in other times he would have been granted citizenship and a military medal (I dont know if that is possible),,,,,but very brave and young.....SALUT LAFAYETTE!!!
The french have a saying per la sang by spilled blood. If you spill your blood for france you are per la sang french. In his opening battles he was shot in the leg and regrouped fleeing scared farmers to march off the battle field. This action leads the way for his amazing life story even as a young nobel wealth beyond belief and he come to aid in freedom for Man. Simply amazing.
:( sad
Mah eyes r leaking😭😭
;( sad!!
This is so sad :(
Lose the obnoxious bearded guy and this could have been an ok late night cable ad.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE OPENING - LOOKS FUN !
I have, and often wear, a black hoodie with white lettering on its front side. The letters are about 2" tall and spell out "So It Goes"....and right below this is a white asterisk about 5" in diameter. I've had, and worn, this hoodie for over 3 years now. I live right in the center of one of the 5 largest cities in America...in the heart of the downtown arts district, as a matter of fact. In over 3 years of wearing my black hoodie w/white lettering on the front only one person so far has yet to understand its origin. I find this informal factoid rather dismal to contemplate. At any rate, I've been reading Kurt Vonnegut since the year 1970, when I was 13 years old. Although he is by no means the only author I've read, he is certainly my favorite author. Over the years, I've devoured his many works repeatedly, and I believe I read him continuously during my most formative years between age 13 to 21. There is no doubt he has had an extraordinary impact on my psyche. I'm thankful for that. I am not impressed with this fellow, I must say. I don't think he understands KV nearly as well as a biographer should...especially the biographer of Mr. Kurt Vonnegut Jr, perhaps our last truly great writer. Am I overlooking someone? At any rate, it is unfortunate he was given the green light. Actually, to me it's much more than merely "unfortunate". I miss Kurt - his peephole has been closed for 12 years already. So it goes.
very good. Thanks. :D
Vive la France and god bless the United States of America. Lafayette is one of greatest general of the American revolutionary wars without a shadow of a doubt.
Thank you so much! Although, Washington was pretty great, too.

The American Revolution funded by France by King Louis XVI one of the causes of The French Revolution of 1789
I'm curious as to why the American baby boomer male has had such a love affair with the goatee. ETA: I stopped watching it ten minutes in. The guy talks mostly about himself.
The train station in Dresden had fire damage in 1996, wonder if it is still as it was.
Why do people post without testing? I will never understand
Sadness in the air hehe
Wonderful La Fayette , what an adventure going to America on the Hermione and getting fully involved, very bravely, for the cause of the Patriots ! The letters from and to La Fayette sound very interesting . This concise biography looks very good .
I decided to do a presentation on Lafayette for school, because, of what little I knew about him, I knew he was an amazing man and had done amazing things. I am definitely using this book to help me
Good lecture, one small errors he said near Metz Germany by then Metz was absorbed by the french Kingdom. the city became completely french under Louis XIV. Germany as country did not exist before 1871.
Strongly agree, Lafayette accomplished part of his military training in Metz. He came here in 1775 he was then a young captain,. It was during his stay that he decided to take part in the American revolution. I am from Metz.
Aid of various sorts and loans given but other than the Marquis the value is often debated. Funded would be to grand a term. Certainly there was aid late.
This is someone I wanted to know more about for so long.I think This was the best explanation of such a great man, leader in our history not just as country's but as people. Thank you for the upload
we should have named a state after him georgia was named after a nasty english king for example . look at the several times the speaker was choking up
Marquis de LA FAYETTE my love forever
"What a guy!"👍👍👍👍👍
36:16 The first city named for LaFayette is Fayetteville, NC. When he visited on his farewell tour, all the people of the Cape Fear region came out dressed to the nines & lined the street for hours in the pouring rain to give him a heroes welcome. He was greeted by the Fayetteville Light Infantry & a compatriot from the war. He partied all night with the Masons & French Mary, a black, creole woman who was the chef & only one in town who spoke French. We owe him a lot of thanks for our current freedoms.
Great story thank you. My great ancestor created these militia Brig. Gen. William lee Davidson he died gathering troops to allow Gen. Greene to escape to set up for the turning of the tide. These people were amazing and beyond interesting. A beacon to live as and incomparable in measure of a man's life. In facebook there's a kings mountain ranger most underrated back wood patriot series that has Brig Gen Davidson as that holder great short story lecture about the time if interested. Much love guys and thanks for the story's from the time
Thank You for this talk; I look forward to reading your book.
This is AMAZING.. I stumbled onto it by accident.. thanks so much for posting it though, despite it's eaten a good portion of my morning when I had chores to do. BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT speech though.
😂😂😂
Enthralling. There is a glorious video on youtube entitled: ' Kurt Vonnegut's war in reverse' which relates to one of the most remarkable and beautiful passages in Slaughterhouse 5. It seems to say what K.V. thought should take place in war.
Pedantic pet peeve before we get started watching this: "And so it goes" is the song. In the book, there's no "and". So it goes.
No audio?
No sorry, this was done just as a demonstration to show some folks the possibilities and I didn't have a microphone on me at the time.
the presenter is an asshole. RIP kurt.. <3 <3
+Fran Santelli Yea, it's all about him.
